GAY-dar alert...watch out for assholes !

Yesterday on the radio I heard that the Castro district of San Francisco, which is heavily gay in that heavily gay city, is in danger of turning 'hetero' as straight people begin to move in. According to a spokesperson, the gay people who live there are quite concerned and said, if I may paraphrase, that the straights are legally welcome but not really and they better not try to change the flavor (penis flavor, I guess) of the community....or they can freaking leave. I have a feeling that the straights are about as welcome as Irving and Rosalie Ginsburg would be if they moved into Hitler's bunker. The spokesmen for the gay community sounded like a first class bigot and asshole.

The radio host, Howie Carr of Boston's WRKO, asked if gay people would put up with the same insulting comments from straight people. Of course, the answer is NO. There'd be lawsuits and spokespeople and outrage from the community and political leaders, as well there should be. However , in this case, nobody said 'boo' (no offense to ghosts) about the asshole's words because that would be taboo.

Just a few miles up the road from San Francisco, in one of my favorite places, Santa Rosa, California, a high school student named Rebekah Rice was continually harassed because she's Mormon. Asked by her fellow students exactly "how many moms" she had , she responded, "that's so gay". God, kids can be such assholes.

In kid talk, , that phrase means "that's so stupid" and it's just part of the lexicon. I doubt if they associate it with being homosexual, but that didn't stop the school from noting this horrific insult to gay people in her "permanent record" and giving her a stern warning about using "hate speech".

The students who were mocking her weren't punished at all, according to the AP report...and Rebekkah's parents are now suing the district since the district "never sought to shield Rebekah from teasing based on Mormon stereotypes" and also asking that the note on her permanent record be expunged. Go for it, Mr and Mrs Rice.

Am I anti-gay? Absolutely not. I'm simply anti-asshole! I've known lots of gay people, worked with many and some were assholes and some weren't. In fact , I always wondered why I even knew they were gay. Why's that my business? They never knew I have sex with livestock on a regular basis because my sexual preferences are nobody's business. ....except,of course, for the sheep. Everybody laughed at me 'cause I picked the ugliest one, but beauty's in the eye of the beholder, ain't it

For this year's 'holiday' pageant at Maria Carillo High School, might I recommend the song be changed to "Don we now our politically correct apparel, fa la la, la la la, LA LA LA".

Can you imagine if they took my advice. Boy, that would be so gay!!!!
